Designer

Founded in 1999, Innermost started up in London under the ownership of Steve Jones & Russell Cameron. Initially focusing on lighting, the intention was to create a design brand by working with the wealth of design talent in the London area, eventually broadening the range to incorporate other products. Today Innermost works and sells across the globe with a second office established in Hong Kong in 2004. The company designs and produces quality goods for mass production as well as working on bespoke products for high-end clients through their design and consultation services. Steve Jones studied Industrial Design at Newcastle Polytechnic in the 1980’s, working in London as a consultant after graduating. On joining forces with Russel Cameron to form Innermost, innovation has been central to their brand allowing hugely successful collaborations with a host of new and exciting designers including Anthony Dickens, Michael Young, Timorous Beasties, Winnie Lui and Anne Kyrrö Quinn. Michael Young, creator of the Barware Set, is a renowned designer with works acquired by the both the Pompadieu Centre & The Louvre as well as by the Design Museum in London. Young was named as most inspirational designer of 2007 by Terence Conran, and today is based in Hong Kong as a creative consultant for Radio Shack.

Product

Originally produced as a client commission the Barware set comprises high ball glasses, chrome muddlers and an ice-bucket and tongs. With parties in mind, Young set out to design something that conveys both fun and pleasure in its design as well as the drink within it! The ice bucket has a sealed double wall to keep out heat and stop condensation, and the innovative muddlers allow you to crush the flavour from the fruit in the glass.
